The RCP Joint Committee for Obstetric medicine is looking for a new trainee physician representative to support, shape and reflect the training and views in obstetric medicine.
The trainee representative will join this committee established jointly between the Royal College of Physicians of London and the MacDonald Obstetric Medicine Society (MOMS). The Committee is established to advise its parent bodies, or other organisations on their behalf, on matters of mutual interest. These will include but not limited to:
- workforce and training
- setting national standards and agreeing joint guidelines and policy statements
- drawing up specifications for clinical governance in relation to the practice of the specialty
- developing and extending service review
- continuing professional development for the specialist, including general medicine if necessary
This fantastic opportunity is open for physicians in training and they would be working with the committee on local and national issues in obstetric medicine.
Candidates must be members of the Society and should register their interest by submitting an expression of interest here.
This should include a 250-word paragraph highlighting your strengths, your suitability for the role of trainee representative and what you would bring to the role.
The closing date for expressions of interest and your applications is 17:00 on 29 March 2024.
